The compound of Al Jazeera Al Hamra's former most prominent pearl trader is situated in the vicinity of the Large Mosque and the seashore, where the pearling vessels beached after their return.

The complex is dominated by an impressive, two-story building with a large reception room in the upper floor. Surrounded by windows with beautifully decorated plaster screens, this majlis provided pleasant ventilation to its residents during the summer, while keeping the sun out.
